MEDIUM | Paper Collage & Charcoal on Canvas

INSIGHTS | This piece was another product of me staring at a blank canvas. A canvas that actually seemed to be laughing back at me :/. This is usually the time I spend throwing my sketch book across the room when I have a bout of Artist’s Block. This time, however, I just started ripping strips of tissue paper and gluing. Layer upon layer. For days. And days. Until finally I got to a point where I liked the texture and color scheme. I then grabbed a charcoal pencil and started drawing.

Funny how ideas can come to you when you started with no direction at all.
