After a fifteen year career…

… in the commercial real estate industry, I decided to leave the industry and pursue a life as a starving artist (cliche observed and intended).

I had surrounded myself with the love of all things creative my entire life. Culminating with a [very usable] college Major of Art History, accompanied by a Minor in Fine Arts. Actually, more life lessons were taught to me during these years than I would have ever expected from a, gasp, art degree. One of the biggest was that I learned exactly what I like to do - painting and collage, and what I hate to do - ummm, everything else. Lesson taught: know your strengths.

This is where I also realized the need of, and learned how to, thicken my skin. Included with your tuition, fine arts studio courses come with some truly evil forms of torture referred to as critiques. Once more, life lessons.

So, years later, here I am. I hope you like my work!

If not, no worries. Life lessons. :)

LYLAS!
